# Office Disinfection Tips

The continued spread of influenza and the new coronavirus (COVID-19) once again indicates the need for clean and healthy workplaces. Fortunately, cleaning and then disinfecting surfaces can greatly reduce the chance of infection spreading. Afshin Changarlu, CEO of Stratus Building Solutions, said: “We redouble our efforts to ensure that our workplaces are regularly and appropriately disinfected.”

Certain cleaning tools and methods, as well as correct and incorrect disinfection methods, can damage or destroy it. According to Stratus Building Solutions, here are five tips for disinfecting the office:

## Use single-sided tissues

Direction, don’t turn it in the opposite direction, because this will deposit the bacteria just there. Regularly clean all frequently touched surfaces, such as workplaces, countertops, and door handles.

## Use a color-coded cleaning system

Room-specific, color-coded wet wipes to ensure that cleaning and maintenance personnel will not cause cross-contamination. Do not confuse kitchen towels with bathtubs.

## The ability to understand chemicals

Common bottled household disinfectants advertise that they can kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, including human coronaviruses, influenza strains, E. coli, and Salmonella. But will they fight COVID-19? The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency stated that these disinfectants are “considered to be effective against the new coronavirus,” but they have not been scientifically proven until they are confirmed by tests.

## Technical disinfection

Remember to clean tall, stable surfaces on employee desks, such as keyboards and phones.

## Strongly encourage handwashing

Place handwashing and drying signs throughout the office (from the kitchen to the bathroom) and remind employees to use at least 60-95% alcohol or warm soapy water to clean alcohol-based hand sanitizers for at least 20 seconds. Your hands and moisture can spread bacteria.
